Online Zoom Therapy Group

Group psychotherapy is effective and more affordable than individual psychotherapy. By utilizing Zoom, it is secure, easily accessible, and more convenient than attending an in-person group. Both group therapy and teletherapy have been studied to ensure that they are offering a comparable therapeutic experience to individual psychotherapy and to in-person psychotherapy. Virtual Group Psychotherapy can also supplement your individual psychotherapy. This group is open to residents of Ontario Canada and is provided by a Registered Social Worker, so it may be covered by your extended health benefits.

Navigating Curriculum

This therapy group uses materials developed by Stacey Ivits MSW RSW in coordination with the Vasculitis Foundation, an international non-profit dedicated to supporting patients and research. Thanks to this collaboration, these materials have been edited and reviewed by experts and refined by patient-feedback. These materials bring together evidence-based psychotherapeutic approaches to provide helpful skills for managing the logistic aspects and mental health impacts of chronic illness more effectively. The curriculum was designed to be delivered over 6 weeks in 1 hour psycho-educational classes.

Enhanced Group Experience

The Navigating Curriculum + Group Psychotherapy

The psycho-educational skills from the Navigating Curriculum are complemented by evidenced-based group psychotherapeutic approaches, creating a Psychotherapy Group Experience that is provided in 90 mins sessions once per week over 8 weeks. The skills are specific, practical, and relevant for individuals managing relapsing and remitting chronic health conditions, specifically those with autoimmune conditions. This enhanced client experience is only available to residents of Ontario Canada, at this time.

Total cost of the group $760 (intake session + 8 weeks @ $75/week). Fees will be due at the conclusion of each session, charged to a credit card on file that must be provided during the 60 mins intake session. E-transfer will not be accepted for group therapy.

This is a closed group. The next group starts April 24, 2024. It will run Wednesdays 12:30-2:00pm. Dates: Wednesday April 24, Wednesday May 1, Wednesday May 8, Wednesday May 15, Wednesday May 22, Wednesday May 29, Wednesday June 5, Wednesday June 12.
